Suikerzoet Filmfestival 2026 | Bollywood Experience at Divine Bites
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995)
Romantic Comedy • Musical • 3 hr 9 min
A little romance. A lot of drama. And one very famous train.
Raj and Simran meet on a trip through Europe. What follows is a love story involving family expectations, unforgettable songs and a rather determined young man.
One of Bollywood's most loved films, and a wonderful introduction to the larger-than-life world of Indian cinema.
The food experience: A journey through Indian flavours, with chai, street food, a proper meal and something sweet. Served throughout the film, with breaks along the way.
Angoor (1982)
Comedy • 2 hr 11 min
Two sets of twins. One very confused world.
Two pairs of identical twins, separated in childhood, end up in the same city. Nobody knows there are two of each. Not their families, not their friends, and certainly not the twins themselves.
A wonderfully chaotic comedy based on Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors.
The food experience: We're playing with the film's theme of mistaken identities. Expect familiar-looking bites with different surprises inside, followed by a proper Indian meal and dessert.
Two Films. Two different experiences.
Whichever you choose, your reservation includes the screening and an Indian food experience designed around the film.
Limited seats.

THE PLOT THICKENS.
SO DOES THE CURRY.
What if the food was part of the movie, rather than something you ate while watching it?
Each evening is designed around the film. The food, the drinks, the timing and even the little surprises.
We'll serve different things as the film unfolds, with intervals along the way.
And because the two films tell very different stories, no two experiences will be the same.
Come hungry!
HOST
Growing up in India means growing up loving Bollywood. The music, the dancing, the larger-than-life characters and all that drama!
And we don't watch movies silently like we're at the opera. We become part of them. We whistle, we laugh, we cry as the drama unfolds.
I'd love to invite you to join me for an evening filled with food, laughter, music and, of course, two of my all-time favourite Bollywood movies.
And we've put together a different menu inspired by each film.
All that's missing is you.
LOCATION
No giant auditorium. Just limited seats, a big screen, great company and great food.
You'll find us at Hoogstraat 140–142, Schiedam.
Arrive a little early, stay a little longer, and don't forget to take a look at our Bollywood wall in the snacks section.
