Sweet Boondi
Any Indian festival or religious ceremony is simply incomplete without Sweet Boondi.
Boondi or Bundi are tiny, sweet, round balls made with chickpea flour, turmeric (for color), and soaked in sugar syrup. This is considered to be the favorite snack of Lord Hanuman and is often offered as Prasad (In Hinduism, Prasad is a devotional offering to god, later shared by devotees) in temples.
While it holds religious significance, it is also very popular in India, Pakistan (Sindh), and Nepal as a sweet. Kids really love this as a snack, and it pairs very well with Bikaneri Bhujia (A savory snack).
