The word Mohanthal comes from two words: Mohan, meaning captivating (and also a name for Lord Krishna), and Thal, meaning plate.
Together, it’s a sweet offering that’s both rich in flavour and tradition, often prepared as bhog for the divine.
Mohan Thal is made by slow-roasting gram flour in pure desi ghee until it deepens in flavor and fragrance. It's sweetened just right, finished with saffron, nuts, coconut, cardamom, and cut into dense, melt-in-the-mouth blocks of pure indulgence.
But honestly? You don’t need a reason to eat this.
It’s nutty. Warm. Rich. And it doesn’t wait for a festival to taste like one.
